The Danish Thermal Insulation Contractors Association

The Danish Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (DIB) was founded back in 1904 and represents the main Danish companies involved in industrial hot and cold insulation.

Through its members it has developed its specialist expertise in energy saving through correctly specified insulation and high quality application. As the needs of the industry and members change and evolve, the need for quality standards and training remain as important as ever.

DIB is an employers’ association and the secretariat is located within the Confederation of Danish Industries (DI) in Copenhagen. In its capacity of employers' association DI/DIB is responsible for collective bargaining, at the national level within the thermal insulation sector.

DIB work is involved in providing advice and support to member companies on industrial relations, employment and training matters.

One of the main activities of DIB is "The Danish system for inspection and control of technical insulation projects" (www.oktekniskisolering.dk). A Council of interested partners has been established and consists of representatives from the main partners within the building industry. The system makes sure that the thermal insulation follows the Danish standard called DS 452.

DIB is a member of FESI.
